The Horticultural Society of South Jersey does not collect personally-identifying information about a user except for information that is voluntarily provided to us so that we can serve the user's needs and our legitimate business purposes  (For example when the user completes an online registration, we need to retain certain personally-identifying information on the site in order to respond to registration).  The Horticultural Society of South Jersey is pleased to offer one scholarship to a
graduating high school senior who will enter the study of horticulture, floriculture,
landscape design, plant botany, forestry, agronomy, plant pathology, conservation,
environmental science as it relates directly to horticulture.
Amount of Award: At least $500.00 to a qualified student.
Deadline for submittal of applications: Tuesday, May 1, 2018. If application is
mailed in, must be postmarked no later than May 1, 2018.
Eligibility Requirements:
Applicants must be a high school senior graduating in 2018; A legal resident of the State of New Jersey and reside and attend a high school in one of the following New Jersey counties: Camden County, Burlington County, Gloucester County; Plan
to attend an accredited college or university in the United States in the fall of
2016; Career plans must be related to the following: horticulture, floriculture,
landscape design, plant botany, forestry, agronomy, plant pathology, conservation environmental science as it relates directly to horticulture.
Guidelines for Scholarship Application :
The following materials must be submitted for consideration

2. Two letters of recommendation that discusses scholastic ability, personal
    character and/or work or school related experiences of applicant.
3. Application material and document must be emailed to:
    newsletter@hssj.org BEFORE MAY 1, 2018.
4. If you are mailing your application through the United States Postal Service,

Envelope must be postmarked ON OR BEFORE MAY 1, 2018
5. No application received electronically or postmarked after May 1, 2018 will be
    considered.
6. Only winner of the scholarship will be notified of award.
7. Scholarship check will be sent to the registrar of the college or university where
    student is enrolled, to be deposited in the student’s
